PROLEARN - prototypic learning modules for learning analystics

project overview

In the project, the Department of Remote Sensing and Cartography examines the potential of the e-learning and e-teaching instruments in university teaching. The focus is on learning modules and learning analytics methods. Learning modules help students at the start of their studies, change between courses of study, and transition from undergraduate to master studies in order to analyze their own knowledge, to close knowledge gaps and to show new ways of learning.
In addition to the procurement of modern and up-to-date optical satellite image data, WorldDEM elevation model data and a spectrometer for spectral reflection measurements in the laboratory and terrain as well as a more individual support of the students based on the combination of classroom teaching in reduced group sizes and independent learning using developed E-Learning modules. The enhanced staffing will improve the quality of the learning events and allow reduction of the group size.
